This is one of my best Swiss roll, in appearance, in flavor and in texture. This green tea roll with strawberry filling was actually baked to make into a Japanese deco roll. I have piped the outline of hello Kitty's face too thin, and when I peeled the parchment paper, some of the lines were stuck on the paper.
Nothing goes to waste, I just turned it over and filled with cream and strawberries.
Ingredients
3 egg yolk
10g caster sugar
30g fresh milk
30g corn oil
50g plain flour
8g corn flour
20g matcha
3 egg white
35g caster sugar
Filling
200g fresh cream
20g caster sugar
strawberries
Method
- Whisk egg yolk, 10g sugar, fresh milk and corn oil until well combined.
- Fold in sifted flours and green tea into the yolk mixture.
- Whisk egg white and 35g caster sugar until stiff but not dry. Fold egg white into yolk mixture.
- Bake at 180C, 12 minutes.
REST
We all need rest and relaxation from time to time. The psalmist in Psalm 116 tells his soul to relax because the LORD has been good to it.
Return to your rest, my soul, for the LORD has been good to you. Psalm 116:7
"Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done" ~~ Gen 2:3
ReplyDeleteHow many of us are guilty of not keeping the Lord's day to seek Him intimately but continue to be busy with worldly activities and never ending chores:(
The fourth commandment is God's law and still need to be observed. Many of us assumed it is not relevant in today's society and continue to engage in worldly activities. God has a reason for us to keep this day holy and that is to rest and focus on him, to renew our body and spirit.. God doesn't need the rest when he created the world. Mark 2:27 " The sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath."
